Ed Macomber Founder of Art&Materials over 11 years ago he is still very involved in our classes. Ed is able to answer many questions about your materials issue. He teaches watercolor, drawing, and acrylic mediums. He also teaches high school summer classes as well.
Linda Hastings Linda teaches a variety of classes at Art&Materials. From acrylic, watercolor, Chinese brush painting, color theory and many more. Linda has many repeat students because they get so much from her teaching.
Chris Mathiot Chris, the owner of Art&materials teaches a variety of children and young adult classes which include Art History I, and II, Drawing, Pen and Ink, Art 101, Acrylic painting, pottery, watercolor and others.
Norm Robins Norm Robins Studied at the Art Students Leage in New York, and with Edger Whitley, who was considered one of the greatest water color teachers of our time. Robin's work has been exhibited at the Nassau County Museum, and the National Art Leage in New York, as well as his pictures and photos which have been placed in the permanent archives of the Asian Art Institute. He has won numerous awards, in both New York and North Carolina.
Kim Fink Kim is our One-Stroke instructor. She is certified and teaches all the Donna Dewberry techniques.
Helen Scott Helen teaches 2 hour sessions tailored to fit your schedule. She teaches colored pencil; watercolor colored pencil; traditional watercolor and basic drawing as well as using sketch book journaling. Your sessions may be private or with other students; as you wish!
Shelley Mathiot Shelley teaches adult and childrens beginning pottery and Little Art Explorers which is a Saturday classes for children age 5-8 years old. This creative and high energy instructor will bring the students artist skill to a new level.


Vickie Lahman-MacKenzie About the Artist: Originally from Toledo, Ohio, MacKenzie studied art for several years. Not limiting herself to one medium, she has worked in watercolor, pastels, acrylic and oil. She has won awards for her work, exhibits and sells paintings locally, and nationally.
